Looking for the absolute best gifts for authors and writers?
Youโre in the right place!
As with the past eight Build Book Buzz guides to the best holiday gifts for authors and writers, Iโve used several sources to offer a wide range of product types and price points.
This year I expanded my reach through queries shared on Help a Reporter Out and Source of Sources. My goal was to identify gifts I probably wouldnโt find on my own, and it worked.
The result is a wonderful collection of practical, magical, clever, and affordable gifts that will support and nurture any writer or author โ including you.
How to shop the list
Grab a hot beverage, get comfortable, and start shopping. And be sure to forward this list to people whoโd like to buy you a gift youโre certain to enjoy, too.
Click on each purple product name to get more information.
Note that prices are subject to change, especially since many items feature Black Friday pricing that expires. My final price check was noon ET on Tuesday, November 25.

Two of these gifts currently live in my house! I got the Rooms of Their Own book as a Christmas gift last yr (much appreciated), and the aqua notepad a number of years ago. My then-teenage boys had a ball with it. (That was NOT the intended use, but it was fun to see). So much fun with it that the aqua pad made the move w us to our new home (5 yrs ago) & that pad still hangs in “their” shower.
I love it, Jenny! This is a repeat appearance for the Aqua Notes because the concept is so brilliant and functional!
Maybe you’ll find another gift for yourself on the list. (The socks are one of my favorites….)
Thanks for weighing in!
Sandy
Sandra. Let me say I am thankful for you and your insights and the knowledge you are willing to share. Your insights have been invaluable for me. As a fifteen year stroke survior, the foot rest would be an awesome gift. I bought a standing desk years ago and I love it! Thanks again for your tips. Have a wonderful holiday, weekend and God bless you and yours.
Thanks so much for this lovely message, Horace. I appreciate it! Happy holidays to you, too.
